Anya Forger is one of the main characters in the comedy anime Spy x Family, and possibly the most popular character as well. Though she may look cute and innocent, she is actually a telepath with the ability to read minds. Anya got her powers in a mysterious experiment, and hides them from her adoptive parents. While she is very powerful, that doesn't keep her from being cute - and at only 4 or 5 years old and standing at a mere 99.5cm (3ft3in), with pink hair and huge eyes, she is definitely cute.

Anya's popularity and adorable appearance are what have led to this cute dessert's creation. The dessert is mochi, a pounded rice cake that is popular to eat in Japan. Her face is made from this sweet mochi, which is flavored like milk, and her iconic pink hair is made from strawberry-flavored anko, or red bean paste. When eaten together, these sweet Anya treats taste like strawberry milk.

The Release of Anya Mochi Desserts

While Spy x Family has retained popularity in Japan since it first aired in 2022, this dessert has been released specifically to celebrate the theatrical release of the movie Spy x Family Code: White. The movie came to cinemas in Japan on December 22nd, 2023. Spy x Family Code: White has already been licensed by Crunchyroll for international release, and will come to theaters in North America, Australia/New Zealand, Latin America, and select countries in Europe sometime in 2024, both subbed and dubbed.

These Anya mochi desserts are made by Bandi Candy and are part of a special line of desserts the company makes called Tabemas. In total, there are seven different designs of Anya mochi available, capturing seven different expressions that she makes in Spy x Family. They are currently already out in the wild at Lawson convenience stores across Japan, and at only 285 yen (around $2 USD), they are a great sweet treat for anime fans to enjoy at a very affordable price.

The Tabemas Line and Anya's Popularity

The Anya mochi desserts are part of a special line of desserts called Tabemas, which includes edible mascot character or design. Previously, the Tabemas line included edible Dragon Balls from Dragon Ball Z. Eating them may or may not have given you special powers.

Anya's popularity and adorable appearance have led to the creation of these cute desserts, making them a great sweet treat for anime fans to enjoy at a very affordable price. The name 'Tabemas' comes from the Japanese word 'tabe,' meaning 'to eat,' and a shortening of the word 'mascot.' This line of desserts captures the essence of beloved characters and designs, allowing fans to enjoy them in a new and delicious way.
