I am eagerly anticipating several films set to release next year. One film that I am particularly excited for is "Deadpool 3," which is scheduled to premiere in July. With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on board, I cannot think of a more entertaining superhero duo.

Prior to that, the adaptation of the stage musical "Mean Girls" is set to premiere in January. Exciting, isn't it? I was already thrilled when the original cast members reunited for a Black Friday ad, so I can't wait to see what Tina Fey has in store for this new version.

Disney and Pixar will be premiering "Soul," "Luca," and "Turning Red" in theaters following their initial direct-to-streaming release during the pandemic. Anticipated films include "Challengers," "Back to Black," and sequels to "Inside Out," "Bad Boys," "Dune," "Beetlejuice," and "Joker."

One thing to talk about…

I must also mention that I am aware that many of you are eagerly anticipating a 2024 Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce engagement. I suggest we allow them to enjoy their dating before we start demanding a Vogue magazine cover featuring Swift in a bridal gown, please.

Speaking of engagements, congratulations are in order for actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who this week shared on "The View" that she and actor Anthony Davis are engaged.

Their love story is truly inspirational. Beginning as acting classmates and friends in their 20s at church, it resonates with me as someone who also found love with my best friend in a similar setting. Revealing that they reconnected after her mom's passing, the "Community" star proposed in a unique and touching way via a scratch-off lottery ticket with a special message.

"I thought I was going to win some money and I won a man," Brown joked.

Ive interviewed the delightful actress before and she could not have been kinder or more down to earth.

I wish the happy couple all the best.

Shannen Doherty is owning her narrative.

The "Charmed" set tensions and her experience living with metastatic cancer are topics Shannen Doherty discusses on her podcast "Lets Be Clear with Shannen Doherty," giving her the opportunity to share her perspective. Doherty, like many other female celebrities, was unjustly labeled as "difficult" in the past, so it is important to listen to her side of the story.

Plus who doesnt love a good celebrity podcast?

I cant wrap up the year without recognizing one of the biggest films of 2023 thats coming to streaming.

The movie "Barbie" was a major success at the box office and received several Golden Globe nominations for its soundtrack and performances. Warner Bros., owned by CNNs parent company, excelled in marketing the film, allowing fans to now enjoy the film's iconic pink moments from the comfort of their homes.

"Barbie" starts streaming Friday on Max.
