XO, Kitty premiered in May 2023, featuring Kitty's journey from the U.S. to South Korea for a long-distance relationship. Moving to a foreign high school exposed Kitty to new adventures and people, leading to self-discovery. The first season was just the beginning of Kitty's growth.

"I was familiar with her at a certain point in her journey, but now I'm exploring her relationships with the world around her and her romantic life."

Cathcart expressed her excitement in discovering more about herself while filming XO, Kitty. She mentioned that she is currently exploring and figuring out her identity, learning and growing along the way. Throughout season 1, she started to uncover more about herself, but she believes it is a continuous journey. Cathcart shared that it was a bit overwhelming as she was also going through a similar process in her personal life. Even traveling to Korea for filming required a lot of self-reflection and understanding of her own desires and values.

In the season 1 finale, Kitty experienced significant changes as she broke up with Dae (Choi Min-young) just before Min-Ho (Sang Heon Lee) confessed his feelings for her. At the same time, Kitty almost revealed her feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim) as she began to realize that her feelings for Yuri went beyond friendship.

Cathcart excitedly shared with Us about the opportunity to provide representation for LGBTQIA+ fans through Kitty.

"I'm really grateful that we had the opportunity to explore that storyline in a way that feels true to the character and the world," she said. "My favorite part of being on this show is seeing how deeply it has impacted people. Our show has a variety of representation, connecting with many different individuals. It constantly amazes me that people all around the world are making these connections and having experiences with something I was a part of. It's truly rewarding."

While waiting for season 2 of XO, Kitty to begin production, Cathcart has been keeping busy with other projects, including her collaboration with Bomb Pop. The popular ice pop brand has teamed up with Cathcart to release their limited edition Unicorn Wonder. This colorful treat combines pink lemonade, sweet berry, and frosted cupcake flavors, perfect for fans of whimsical treats.

"I had a great time collaborating with this company because the product and the overall energy of the company are so fun. It reminds me of summer, happy times, and all things good," Cathcart shared with Us. "I was thrilled to work with them, especially with this new flavor that brings something fresh and enjoyable."

She added, "Bomb Pop is known for its iconic symbol. Just seeing or tasting one can instantly transport you back to summer and being with friends. It exudes positivity. I was already a fan before the collaboration and was ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with them."
