Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange adds Jujutsu Kaisen's Yoko Hikasa to their voice cast

Masahito Soda's popular ongoing anime, Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange, recently revealed that two new members will be joining the star-studded voice cast of the series. Yoko Hikasa, known for her role as Utahime Iori in Jujutsu Kaisen, will be one of the new additions to the series.

Hikasa is set to voice Hibiki Aaltonen, a veteran member of the Tokyo Fire Department's Megumi special forces unit. Hibiki is known as a skilled mechanic who was scouted by the Megumi alongside Yuki Nakamura.

In addition to Hikasa, Kohei Amasaki is also one of the latest cast members to join the series. He is said to be providing the voice for Takahiro Tachibana, a member of the Ginger Valley Fire Department, which serves as the rival to the Fuwa Fire Department that Daigo Toake and the other main characters are a part of.

Yoko Hikasa, the latest addition to the series, shared her thoughts on the role, stating, "My name is Yoko Hikasa and I will be playing the role of Hibiki Aaltonen. When she read Daigo of the Hamegumi, she felt an indescribable shock and warmth. It's a totally unknown world for her on set and how she speaks, so I want to deliver something close to reality, including the harsh parts. Also, just like Shun is to Daigo, I want Hibiki to be like that to Yuki. I will act in a way that will be a little bit of support and salvation for them..." (via the anime's official website).

With the second cour set to air, the announcement of new voice cast members has sparked even more excitement among fans. The series is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Editor's P/S

As a passionate fan of both "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange," I am thrilled to hear about the addition of Yoko Hikasa to the voice cast of the latter. Hikasa's portrayal of Utahime Iori in "Jujutsu Kaisen" was nothing short of exceptional, and I have no doubt that she will bring the same level of talent and dedication to her role in "Firefighter Daigo." Her ability to capture the essence of strong and determined female characters is truly remarkable, and I am eager to see how she brings Hibiki Aaltonen to life.

The news of Kohei Amasaki joining the cast as Takahiro Tachibana is equally exciting. Amasaki's previous work has showcased his versatility and range as a voice actor, and I believe he will bring a unique and compelling presence to the rivalry between the Fuwa Fire Department and the Ginger Valley Fire Department. The dynamic between Daigo Toake and Takahiro Tachibana promises to be one of the highlights of the upcoming second cour, and I can't wait to see how their interactions unfold.
