Surprisingly, America's judicial system may not be as rigged as previously thought.
The right-wing media machine quickly shifted their focus from Donald Trump's 34 felony convictions to the felony charges against Hunter Biden. On Monday, a trial began and outlets like Fox News seized the opportunity to highlight the case facing President Joe Biden's son. Figures such as Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Jesse Watters, who have been criticizing the legal system, eagerly brought attention to the trial. They even suggested that the unanimous jury verdict was part of a deep-state conspiracy against the former president.
The cognitive dissonance is quite interesting to see. The media outlets and personalities who have been saying that there is a "two-tiered justice system" in America are now covering a trial where Biden's Justice Department is prosecuting his son. If Biden is trying to manipulate the justice system, he's not doing a very good job.

The trial of Trump’s son provides a distraction from his felony convictions, reflecting years of attacks on the president’s family. It is a hot topic on Fox News, with claims of wrongdoing by the "Biden Crime Family."
President Biden’s son being on trial for felonies is a big deal. However, the treatment of Trump's trial versus Hunter Biden's trial is different. The charges against Hunter Biden are not seen as election interference, unlike how Trump's trial was portrayed.
While there isn't a "two-tiered justice system" in the country, there is a noticeable difference in the standards applied by outlets like Fox News to the Democratic Party compared to the Republican Party.
Charges against Hunter Biden are being treated seriously by these outlets, who have been critical of the courts in the past. They are also unfairly trying to connect President Biden to his son's alleged crimes, even though the GOP has not found any evidence to support this claim. The Republican Party has made efforts to establish this link, but has been unsuccessful.
Regardless of the outcome of the Hunter Biden trial, Trump's media allies will likely continue to argue that the justice system is unfair. Whether Hunter Biden is cleared of charges or the jury cannot reach a decision, the conservative media will use it to support their false claim that the judicial system is biased and only goes after Republicans. Even if Hunter Biden is found guilty, viewers will be told that he received lenient treatment and should have faced more serious accusations.
MAGA Media benefits from this situation, as the media landscape is dominated by outlets and personalities that are fundamentally dishonest, prioritizing certain narratives for their own gain and influence.
