AMD has confirmed that it will introduce new Radeon products at Gamescom, which is scheduled to take place on August 25th in Germany. There have been speculations that the upcoming Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT graphics cards will be launched at the event. These cards are expected to feature the Navi 32 die, bridging the gap between the RX 7600 and RX 7900 series of graphics cards, which are based on the Navi 33 and Navi 31 respectively.

Rumors surrounding Team Red have been circulating for some time, suggesting the imminent release of the mid-tier Radeon RX 7000 series cards. When AMD initially announced the new cards back in November last year, the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX were considered the flagship offerings, supported by the entry-level RX 7600. Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the introduction of more SKUs in the Radeon 7000 series to compete in a market that is currently dominated by Nvidia's RTX 4060 and 4070 cards.

Scott Herkelman, the Senior VP & GM of AMD's General Manager Graphics Business Unit, took to Twitter to share that the company will be making significant product announcements at Gamescom in Germany. The event is scheduled for August 25, and the announcements from AMD are expected to take place at 5 pm local time. Although the exact details of the Radeon products to be unveiled were not disclosed, it is widely believed that the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT graphics cards will make their debut at the event.

Considering the previous leaks, particularly the accidental listing by Powercolor on their website, the speculation gains credibility. The listing, which was quickly removed, revealed the design and key specifications of the Radeon RX 7800 XT. This graphics card will be equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit bus, featuring 18 Gbps modules. Remarkably, these specifications align with those of the recently released RX 7900 GRE model, which is currently available worldwide through system integrators.

The specific variant of the Powercolor Radeon RX 7800 XT boasts a triple fan cooler and comprises 3840 stream processor units. Its base clock speed is 2210MHz, and it can reach a boost clock speed of 2520MHz. The listing also confirms that this graphics card utilizes the Navi 32 die, distinguishing it from the Navi 31 XL used in the RX 7900 GRE, despite having a similar design. Interestingly, AMD is reportedly developing a mobile version of the RX 7900 GRE, incorporating its modified Navi 31 XL die.
