While there is currently no date of release, Bride of Frankenstein is set to begin filming in the first quarter of 2024.
After multiple delays in production due to developmental changes and the recent SAG-AFTRA strikes, Bride of Frankenstein is set to be a standalone monster piece, following in the footsteps of 2020's The Invisible Man. This marks a departure from the unsuccessful Dark Universe Franchise, initiated by Tom Cruise's The Mummy in 2017.

Bride of Frankenstein plot: What will happen in the movie?
The upcoming revamp of Bride of Frankenstein is rumored to be a standalone period piece set in 1930s New York, centering on the havoc caused by the Bride. Rather than being a true remake, the film is expected to follow a similar concept as the original, involving Dr. Frankenstein creating a monstrous woman for his other lightning-created monster to marry. Given that the concept of Frankenstein originates from Mary Shelley's work, the upcoming film is likely to draw inspiration from her classic tale.
The original movie's plot, and possibly this new one as well, goes like this: "Following injuries from a mob attack on himself and his creation, Dr. Frankenstein becomes controlled by his former mentor, Dr. Pretorius, who urges the doctor to continue his experiments in creating new life. Meanwhile, the Monster is still on the run from those trying to destroy him, not realizing that despite his lack of socialization and self-control, his intentions are generally good."
