Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper will team up once again to host a thrilling countdown to 2024 as the year comes to a close. The dynamic duo, who have been hosting CNN's New Year's Eve Live special for the past seven years, are known for bringing excitement and a bit of controversy to the annual event.
The 2023 broadcast was a more serious event after Cohen, 55, had a drunken outburst the previous year about former New York City mayor Bill De Blasio. Cooper, 56, attempted to control Cohen at the time, but the network later prohibited the pair from drinking on air.
With another live special coming up, Cohen is optimistic that he and Cooper will be toasting the new year with drinks in hand. "People want to see me make Anderson giggle, and they love to see him take shots," Cohen stated on the December 13 episode of The Howard Stern Show.
"Despite how tipsy they may get, the duo is thrilled to bring back their shenanigans. 'There's no one else I'd rather ring in the New Year with, and no place I'd rather be at midnight than New York's Times Square!' Cooper joked in a press release."
