Alexey Navalny's Memoir Set for October Release

****Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny's memoir titled "Patriot" will be published this fall, as his widow Yulia Navalnaya announced on Thursday. The book is set to be released on October 22 in various languages, including Russian, according to a post on the social platform X.
Navalnaya shared that her husband began writing his autobiography in 2020, right after being poisoned with Novichok.
Navalny's spokesperson, Kira Yarmysh, mentioned in a Telegram post that the ****Russian opposition leader asked her to help with the book while he was receiving medical treatment in Germany following the poisoning.
Navalny worked on parts of the book with Yarmysh initially, and completed it while serving time in prison after coming back to Russia in 2021.
The memoir, described by Penguin Random House as "a powerful reminder to carry on the mission that Navalny dedicated his life to," will be released in the United Kingdom.

Navalnaya, the widow of Navalny, has blamed Putin for her husband's death and has expressed her intention to carry on his legacy for a better Russia.
The Kremlin has refuted any involvement in Navalny's passing.
