Alec Baldwin Proclaims Barbra Streisand as the Ultimate Icon of Beauty
Alec Baldwin showers praise on his former duet partner, the iconic Barbra Streisand, as he passionately lauds her as the epitome of beauty and elegance
In 2016, Alec Baldwin recorded a duet with Barbra Streisand. Seven years later, the 65-year-old former 30 Rock star expressed his admiration for the 81-year-old A Star Is Born actress after a video of her performing "Lover, Come Back to Me" in 1965 resurfaced.
Baldwin's comment on an Instagram post by a Streisand fan account on October 24, stating "This is the hottest woman. Ever," has sparked criticism for being inappropriate given his marriage to wife Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children. The Comments by Celebs account reposted the clip on Monday, December 11, drawing attention to Baldwin's comment and the subsequent backlash it received.
"Hilaria seems to be upset, check on her," one person commented. Another person responded, "It's odd to comment like that when he has a wife."
Baldwin and Hilaria started dating in August 2011, got engaged in April 2012, and tied the knot on June 30, 2012.

Four years into their marriage, Baldwin collaborated with Streisand on "The Best Thing That Has Ever Happened" for her 2016 album, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway. Initially hesitant to sing with the legendary vocalist, Baldwin was eventually convinced by Streisand's encouragement. In an interview with The Associated Press in August 2016, Streisand recalled telling Baldwin, "You’re a personality and it’s perfect for the song... Will you try with me? Because if it’s really terrible we won’t use it. Will you experiment with me? Will you play with me?”
Baldwin praised Streisand in a 2018 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, joking that they were once married and could now be happily divorced. "I could have been a great Barbra Streisand ex-husband," Baldwin said.
"I told her that I was at her house. It's amazing how we could be divorced and still deeply in love. I understand that you have Jim (husband James Brolin) and I love him. But even after our divorce, we still have strong feelings for each other. Here we are at the house, with Jim sleeping on the couch while we enjoy Chinese food and watch movies together."

Baldwin also explained what sets Streisand apart from other stars he’s known.
“I met a handful of people who what you think they are in a fantasy is fulfilled when you meet them,” he continued. “When you meet her you’re like, ‘Oh, my God. she’s so incredible.’”
