How to Find the Talk Show Door Code

Upon starting the next chapter, players will assume control of Alan Wake. Proceed towards the television and engage with it to initiate an intriguing live-action cutscene. Following the conclusion of this mind-altering sequence, turn around and head towards the exit sign-adorned doorway. Upon reaching this point, players who venture to the right and traverse the entire length of the corridor will eventually come across a locked door that necessitates a specific code to gain access.

To discover the code, make your way to the Band Room where a neon sign displaying the phrase: "Neighbor of the Beast: 665" is mounted on the wall. Input the code 665 to unlock the door and progress further. Simply continue moving through the doors that are labeled with an exit sign. Enter a room that is identified as "Storage" and suddenly witness an unexpected transformation of the room. Follow the designated path and approach the door to initiate a cutscene.

Examine the Typewriter

However, be aware that the door code has changed. Look for a neon sign in the Band Room that will flash the code 565. Memorize this code and return to the door, entering it to proceed. Progress through the hallway and revisit the Storage area. Follow the path until reaching the previously encountered door, which can now be opened. Enter the new room and search for the door leading to the Janitor's Office. Inside, players will meet Ahti, the enigmatic janitor from the Control game. Ahti will provide players with a key for the basement and inform them that there is something useful to be found there.

Exit the Janitor's Office and turn right. In the hallway, a wall-mounted map provides players with a visual representation of the talk show studio's layout. Acquire the map and proceed through the double doors. Utilize the map to guide yourself towards a door that grants access to the basement. Employ the Janitor's Key to unlock the door and descend downstairs.

Please note that although there exists a shortcut to the basement within the Janitor's Office, players are prohibited from utilizing it.

Search the Basement

In the basement, proceed north towards the Workshop where an old shoebox holds the Angel Lamp. Players can pick up this lamp, which enables them to extract light from one source and utilize it to create a pathway.

Upon taking the light, the room undergoes a transformation. Although the exit door is blocked, a new passage appears in the darkened version of the room, leading to the Workshop. Traverse through this newly opened path and make your way to the Laundry Room. When instructed, activate the Angel Lamp to illuminate the room and gain entry.

Once inside this newly discovered room, use the Angel Lamp to reclaim the light. This action unveils a door with an exit sign above it.

Ascend the staircase and proceed northward down the corridor. Inside a compact chamber, an ephemeral glimpse of a TV flickers briefly before abruptly ceasing its operation. Employ the Angel Lamp to instigate an engrossing cinematic sequence depicting Alan immersing himself in a chilling narrative, elucidating the dire circumstances he finds himself entangled in.

Once the cutscene ends, players will come across a shoebox placed on a stool. This shoebox serves as a convenient storage space for the items Alan discovers in the Dark Place. Proceed through the newly accessible doorway to discover a flight of stairs. Ascending these stairs will lead players to the exterior of the studio. Inside the vicinity, locate a phone booth and respond to the incoming call to conclude the current chapter.
