Al Roker Sets Today Return Date After Spring Break Trip With Son Nick

Fans can look forward to having Al Roker back on their screens to kickstart their mornings very soon. Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones, and Dylan Dreyer announced on the NBC morning show on Tuesday, March 12, that Roker, 69, will be returning on air on Wednesday, March 13. Although the reason for his absence was not disclosed by the trio, Roker himself shared his location with fans through social media.
"It was a #guystrip for me and Nick to the fabulous @rwmayakoba and we got to say #adiosto the amazing Daniel Scott who is leaving to head up The Rosewood Kona Village," Roker shared on Instagram. He posted a slideshow of pictures from their getaway at the Rosewood Mayakoba resort in Mexico on Monday, March 11.
Along with airport and beach selfies with his son, Nick, 21, Roker's post included photos of him and his youngest child relaxing poolside in matching hats and enjoying activities with friends. Roker has two other children, Leila, 25, and Courtney, 35, from previous relationships.
Roberts, 63, left a sweet comment on the post, writing, “Missed you guys and the beach! ️.”
The vacation was for spring break, Roker revealed in another Monday Instagram post.
Roker continued his travels after his father/son vacation by attending the Aspen Ideas: Climate event in Miami. He shared photos from the event on Instagram, captioning them with a message about his conversation with climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe on topics like hope, faith, action, and climate.
