Aimee Teegarden has special memories from her childhood connected to Easter. However, that doesn't mean there wasn't any crying during the holiday.

"Each Easter, my grandmother used to organize a fun egg hunt for me, my brother, and my cousin," shared Teegarden, 34, in an exclusive interview with We. She was talking about her latest movie on the Hallmark Channel, An Easter Bloom.

The actress remembered her cousin, who was an only child, taking her time and being very competitive. However, despite her slow and steady approach, she never managed to win.

Teegarden admitted, with a laugh, "I would always beat her in the backyard, and every year it ended in tears. It wasn't about the candy - I'm not really into sweets - but more about the competitive spirit."

Despite experiencing heartbreak during her childhood, the Hallmark personality shared that she has kept the tradition alive in her own way as she has gotten older.

She mentioned to Us that every year, her family tends to have a unique Easter egg hunt. This could involve hiding Easter eggs for their dogs to find or placing little eggs around the backyard for a fun search.

Teegarden believes that during a hunt, the most important thing is to find as many items as possible.

After starring in Hallmark's An Easter Bloom, Teegarden may have more spring traditions besides Easter egg hunts. In the movie, she portrays a flower farmer participating in a floral design contest to preserve her family's property after experiencing a significant setback.

Before filming the project, Teegarden took a flower arranging class in Vancouver alongside her costar Frances Flanagan, who plays her flower mentor, Lori, in the movie.

Teegarden told Us that she had a great time with Allister Foster/Hallmark. She mentioned that they learned a lot about flower arranging, including new techniques she had never considered before. For example, Teegarden used to always start by putting in the greenery when creating a vase bouquet.

Teegarden was surprised to learn that using tactics was not the way to handle flowers, which was a bit mind-blowing for her. Instead, she was told to start by "building within your hand" or placing the flowers in the vessel first.

Reflecting on the experience, Teegarden found it fascinating and interesting. She mentioned that a lot of the work was already done on set, so they didn't get to use all the flower skills they had learned. Despite that, she still had a lot of fun.

When asked about her favorite flowers, the Friday Night Lights alum mentioned that she tends to gravitate towards peonies. She explained that peonies are always lovely and easily accessible in October, which happens to be around her birthday.

Teegarden also expressed her appreciation for Jasmine, noting that it always smells really nice.
