Actor Jonathan Tucker became a hero when he saved his neighbor and her children from an intruder trying to enter their home. The 41-year-old actor called the police on Sunday, June 2, after noticing a strange man walking around his neighborhood and knocking on doors. Tucker, known for his role in the show Kingdom, took action when he saw one of his neighbor's front doors wide open, deciding to check on their well-being.
Tucker escorted a mother, her daughter, and another child to safety until the authorities arrived. According to TMZ, the disruptor was placed on a 5150 hold due to a mental health incident.
In a statement to Los Angeles Magazine, Tucker emphasized the heroism of the LAPD. He stated, "If you want a quote, call the LAPD because those guys are the real heroes. They put their lives on the line every day multiple times a day. They responded within minutes, while I was still on the phone with a 911 dispatcher. It was an extraordinary response."
Tucker has made a name for himself through various TV appearances, such as his role as Jay Kulina on Kingdom. He has also been seen on shows like Criminal Minds, Hannibal, Westworld, and Snowfall. In a 2022 interview with Variety, Tucker shared insights about his career in the entertainment industry. He mentioned how, after 30 years of experience, he has learned to trust his intuition. According to Tucker, it is important to listen to that inner voice that guides us towards the right choices, rather than ignoring it. He emphasized the significance of paying attention to the messages that the universe may be sending us.
Tucker recently shared his approach to selecting roles during an interview with Bond Official in 2023. He mentioned that he values diversity in characters and is willing to take risks to fully experience life. He acknowledged that resumes do not reflect the struggles and challenges faced in the journey of personal growth, as they often just list accomplishments.
In addition, Tucker expressed his desire for his children to learn from his interactions with his colleagues. He emphasized the importance of understanding that everyone has a unique story to tell. He highlighted the significance of being punctual, prepared, and committed to his work in the entertainment industry.
Throughout his career, Tucker mentioned that he was deeply impacted by various roles he played. "Kingdom allowed me to demonstrate my eagerness to fully delve into a character, but it was The Deep End that truly transformed my career," he shared. "My main goal was always to collaborate with talented individuals. Sleepers was a great example of this in the past, but it was after The Deep End that I started receiving calls as if I had proven something rather than constantly having to prove myself. While we do need to prove ourselves every day, the idea of being willing to take risks is crucial. It felt like the people I admired also began to admire me after The Deep End."
