Editors Note: Look of the Week is a regular series that highlights the most talked-about outfit of the week, featuring both the good and the bad.
Breaking out in the film "West Side Story," Rachel Zegler is now joining the popular "Hunger Games" franchise with the upcoming release of its prequel, "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," on November 17th. In the film, Zegler takes on the role of Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute from District 12 in the tenth iteration of the Games. The character of Lucy Gray shares similarities and differences with the original "Hunger Games" heroine, Katniss Everdeen, which are skillfully woven into the narrative. Last night, at the world premiere of the film in Berlin, Zegler used the power of fashion to demonstrate this parallel.
Kim Kardashian's latest fashion statement for the week is crystal-covered underwear. The 22-year-old made a striking appearance on the red carpet wearing a strapless black Alexander McQueen ensemble from the Fall-Winter 2022 collection. The gothic gown showcased a mesmerizing mermaid tail, adorned with a bold print of a blood red orchid with abstract petals resembling flickering flames.
Fans have compared Zegler's dress with another key "Hunger Games" moment.
Fans wasted no time drawing comparisons between Zegler's attire and another iconic gown from "The Hunger Games." In the sequel "Catching Fire," inspired by Suzanne Collins' 2009 novel, Katniss astounds the wealthy, corrupt denizens of the Capitol with a dress that ignites in a burst of flame while she gracefully spins to earn their admiration.

In a significant act of rebellion, the pure white bridal gown ignites with a steady burn, starting from the hem and ascending all the way to the neckline. In an astonishing revelation, it uncovers a second ensemble: a beautifully crafted winged dress inspired by the mockingjay bird, the ultimate symbol of resistance against the oppressive Capitol rule. This daring revelation stirs such controversy that Everdeen's stylist pays the ultimate price and is executed by the ruthless dictatorship.
While there has been no written acknowledgement from Zegler or her stylist Sarah Slutsky regarding the comparison, Zegler did post an Instagram photo juxtaposing her red carpet ensemble with Everdeen's fiery gown.

Both Zegler and Schafer showcased their impeccable fashion choices at the event. Zegler's outfit was a standout, while Schafer's Haute Couture ensemble from Schiaparelli's latest collection was equally captivating. The unique midi-dress appeared to be made entirely of gouache paint strokes, perfectly embodying Schafer's character, Tigris Snow, the eccentric Capitol stylist. It is evident that both actresses not only possess extensive knowledge, but also possess a keen sense of style.
