The movie didn't receive universal praise, with a 22% Critics' Score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it has achieved cult classic status, largely due to its over-the-top kills, including a scene that has become a popular meme.

This particular scene depicts one of the main character Ricky's violent rampages, as he shoots multiple members of his neighborhood. The clip is filled with absurd moments, from Ricky's unsettling laughter, to a neighbor coming out to complain about the noise despite there being none, and, of course, the iconic line "Garbage day!"

This Garbage Day meme involves Ricky shooting a man through a garbage can as he puts his trash out, but not before loudly exclaiming “Garbage day!”

The clip escalates further, with Ricky narrowly avoiding harming a child and then shooting at a moving car, causing it to flip and explode. He nonchalantly exclaims "Bingo!" The meme has been circulating on the internet for some time, so take a look at some variations below:

As a hard fan of horror movies, I am thrilled to see that Silent Night Deadly Night 2 is getting the recognition it deserves. The Garbage Day meme is one of the most iconic moments in horror movie history, and it's great to see it being celebrated. The movie itself is a classic slasher flick, with plenty of gore and violence to keep you entertained. But what really sets it apart is the dark humor.
