After making his debut as Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot in January, the 42-year-old actor tells us that there is no greater thrill than taking a bow on Broadway. He had dreamed about this moment for years, and now that he performs eight times a week, it has exceeded his expectations.
The Mean Girls star will finish his first Broadway gig at the St. James Theatre in New York City on Sunday, April 7.

4 p.m.
Upon reaching the St. James Theatre, Bennett's initial task is to sign in at the stage door. According to the 42-year-old Mean Girls star, "We need to be there 30 minutes before the show starts," but she always arrives an hour early because she enjoys being in the theater and getting into the right mindset.

5 p.m.
Before hitting the stage, Bennett, known for his role as Sir Robin in the Tony Award–winning musical, takes some time to prepare: "This is my moment to focus and go over my lines and cool dance moves." Afterwards, he heads to his dressing room to receive feedback from the assistant dance captain.

6:30 p.m.
In the hair department, the actor shares that he gets his first wig put on. This look, which includes a small hat and minimal hair, is for his character Mud Robin before he transforms into a knight. Afterwards, his costumer Courtney prepares him for Act 1.

6:59 p.m.
Act 1 kicks off with Bennett sharing, “Changing into this hood is a race against time for me. I only have eight seconds to transform into Mud Robin and make my entrance on stage.” Bennett recalls some nerve-wracking moments, admitting, “There were a few times when I almost forgot my wig before going on stage — that would have been a disaster!”

8:25 p.m.
During intermission, Bennett takes a moment to snap a selfie as Sir Robin in his private area. He mentions, "The only chance I get to visit my dressing room is during intermission." Luckily, he adds, "It's located four floors upstairs, and I must say, my butt has never looked better!"
