50 Cent has shared his thoughts on the recent video that surfaced showing Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie. The footage, released by CNN on May 17, captures Diddy, 54, grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Cassie, 37, during an altercation at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
50 Cent, age 48, shared a quote from CNN's post on X. He wrote, "Now I'm sure puffy didn't do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all."
Following the release of the video, Cassie's lawyer made a statement addressing the clip.
"The disturbing video has reinforced Mr. Combs' predatory behavior," said Douglas H. Wigdor on Friday. "We cannot fully express the bravery and strength shown by Ms. Ventura in speaking out about this."
Us has contacted Diddy for a response.
In 2006, 50 Cent started a feud with Diddy by releasing a diss track called "The Bomb." The song accused Diddy of knowing about the murder of the Notorious B.I.G. in 1997.
Since then, 50 Cent and Diddy have been taking jabs at each other on social media. The tension between them increased when Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, sued Diddy in November 2023.

The lawsuit alleged that Diddy got very drunk and hit Ms. Ventura, causing her to have a black eye. It also described an incident at the InterContinental Hotel that seemed to match what was seen in the CNN footage. The lawsuit stated that Diddy paid $50,000 to the InterContinental Century City for the video.
Diddy denied the accusations, and they reached a settlement outside of court. Following this, he resigned as chairman of his Revolt company, prompting an offer from 50 Cent to purchase it.
"I'll buy that from you, buddy, at a low price because Cadillac and AT&T are going to withdraw," 50 Cent mentioned on X. "I can give you some cash for it right away! Sell it to me, and we can become friends. Call my phone if you're serious."
When Diddy got caught up in a sex trafficking probe and Homeland Security searched two of his residences earlier this year, 50 Cent showed interest in making a documentary about the controversy.
"He wrote via X above the cover art for a documentary titled, “Diddy Do It?” that this is gonna break records when it drops."
"Diddy’s lawyer, Aaron Dyer, stated to Us during the raids that there has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. He emphasized that Mr. Combs is innocent and will keep fighting to clear his name."
