A Pokemon Legends: Arceus sequel is highly anticipated by fans and could explore different regions, introduce new pocket monsters, and feature unique characters.
A Pokemon Legends Kalos game has the potential to enhance conflicts and relationships by introducing various forms or evolutions for existing Pokemon such as Hariyama, Durant, and Heatmor. Moreover, the inclusion of regional forms or evolutions in the game could greatly benefit Roggenrola and Spidops, as they possess distinctive traits that align with Kalos' scientific advancements.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus surpassed initial doubts about its graphics and open world, emerging as an incredibly successful and distinctive installment in the mainline series. Its success has prompted numerous fans to clamor for a sequel. If Game Freak were to pursue an obvious path and create a Pokemon Legends game for each existing region, a sequel centered around the Kalos region would offer abundant possibilities for its setting, new pocket monsters, and characters. While certain regions would be logical choices to explore first, and others would please fans due to their popularity, a Pokemon Legends game set in Kalos could equally captivate players.
The potential for starters, as well as the selection of a Legendary or Mythical mascot, for a Pokemon Legends Kalos game is vast. Moreover, numerous opportunities exist for regular Pokemon to receive regional forms or new evolutions. Ursaluna, introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and part of the Hisuian Pokedex, received immense acclaim and could serve as a prime example of the exceptional and distinctive creatures that Game Freak could craft by drawing inspiration from the various existing species in Kalos.
Makuhita and Hariyama
Durant and Heatmor
These Fighting-type Pokemon from Generation 3 have gained significant attention recently, primarily because of the initial role played by Hariyama in the Pokemon VGC for Generation 9 games. Before additional regulations were introduced, this included the introduction of Paradox critters, including Hariyama's future version known as Iron Hands. Given that this Electric/Fighting Pokemon is still in the spotlight, it is a perfect opportunity to explore the potential of Hariyama in terms of regional forms or evolutions. A game set in the Kalos region could be an excellent starting point, especially considering Hariyama's competition with Hawlucha. If a Pokemon Legends Kalos game were to be created, it could introduce a different form or evolution for Hariyama that may not fare as well against Hawlucha. This could eventually lead to a unique evolution for Hariyama in future iterations.
In Gen 5, a plethora of captivating critters were introduced, among them the intriguing duo of Durant and Heatmor. Durant, a Steel/Bug-type ant, and Heatmor, a Fire-type ant eater, engage in a fierce conflict as depicted in their Pokedex entries. Given this existing gimmick, it would be fascinating if a potential sequel to Pokemon Legends: Arceus explored regional variations or evolutions for both of these creatures, delving into the vast reservoir of untold stories within the franchise. It could prove entertaining to witness a regional Durant surpassing Heatmor in terms of type dominance, only for the tides to eventually turn in the modern era of the series.
Roggenrola
Another fascinating Pokedex entry revolves around Roggenrola, a diminutive Rock-type Pokemon. As mentioned in the flavor text of Pokemon Sun and Moon, Roggenrola compares its own strength with Geodude and Carbink to determine who possesses the sturdiest physique. Considering Carbink's debut in Generation 6, a potential Pokemon Legends Kalos game could introduce a regional form for Roggenrola, transforming it into a formidable Rock/Steel type in an attempt to dominate Carbink, given its susceptibility to Steel attacks. Alternatively, Roggenrola could become the pioneering Normal/Rock-type creature, representing an intriguing and currently unexplored type combination in the world of Pokemon.
Spidops
Spidops, featured in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, is often considered one of the weaker creatures in Paldea, despite its intriguing signature move and unique appearance. This Pokemon combines Bug-type characteristics with technological elements, making it an ideal candidate for a regional form or evolution in a Kalos game, considering the region's advancements in science. With a regional variant, Spidops could take its design and type in various directions, which would make perfect sense given the close proximity of Kalos and Paldea.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available for Nintendo Switch.
